Hola Todos,
This week was a little diffreent. At the start of the week our Zone Leaders called to tell us that there might be a cyclone coming. Just to be on the safe side they told us that all of the missionaries should buy a three or four day reserve supply and be ready to leave the house if anything should happen. They also told us that we should stay with the closest missionaries for a while, due to how our house has been flooding so much. We spent three days there with them, but the storm passed over without any real problem. It never really hit here very hard, other than Thursday, when it kept reaining for most of the day. Oddly enough, when we came back to check our house it hadn´t flooded at all. It was a rough few days though. The rain made a lot of our appointments fall through and living with the other missionaries ade us have to walk a lot further to get to and from our area. I did learn however, or rather was reminded, that going camping and sleeping on the ground is actually a lot softre than sleeping on cement and tile floors. Needless to say, we were happy when we were able to go back to our house and matresses. The day we went back however, we ended up doing a half day companionship exchange with the Zone Leaders to do some baptismal interviews in bith areas. We were planning on switching back in the night, but we missed the last bus going out. What we ended up having to do was haveing Elder Valdez and Elder Zapata cath the last bus returning to the Zone Leaders´ house and all four of us had to stay there for the night. The Zone Leaders however, at least had two extra matresses from another area that was recently closed, so we were able to sleep a little more comfortably. All in all, we´re happy to be back in our own area and beds.
We only had two of our investigatores go to church yesterday, which was a bummer, but we´re glad they went. Margarita went with her family for the sixth week now, and Ernesto, the husband of a new member. We helped them find some shoes for their children so that they could leave the house, and we were surprized to see him in church the next day. He learned all of the missionary lessons with his wife and kids and they got married, but he didn´t get baptized because he didn´t want to stop drinking. His wife however, told us that he hasn´t dunken since Father´s Day, so we´re going to start trying to help him again. It really would be great if we could help complete their family. It would certainly make life a lot easier for his wife.
Well, it´s time to go again. Thanks for all your support. I can´t wait to see everybody again.
P.S.--- Mom, I got the birthday package. I actually got it on my birthday. Don´t worry, I got the hint from the "two by two" sticker on the side. Elder Zapata says thanks for the candy.
