I´m not really sure waht to write this week. It´s going to be a bit hard trying to concentrate this week, but we´re going to keep working hard. It would be a lot easier to focus if my companion, Elder Zufelt, weren´t also going home next week. His mind kindof checked out a long time ago. This is actually the second time he´s been in this area, and he didn´t like it very much the first time. When one of the members asked him why they sent him back here he told them it was a punishment. When they asked what for he told them it´s because his whole district went to see Transformers 3 last transfer and they got caught. He´s doing a decent job of holding it together, but the whole work drive is kindof gone. On the bright side, he told me that Transformers 3 turned out well.
We had stake conference this week, which was great. There was a great spirit there. Elder Viñas of the seventy came and re-organized the stake presidency and we heard from all the old and new stake presidencies and their wives, Elder Viñas, and President Hernandez and his wife. The spirit was really strong and Elder Zufelt and I got a lot out of it. There was just one major downside though. THe stake center is a little further away than the ward meetinghouse, meaning you have to take a bus to get there. Due to the extra exertion required to get there, none of our investigatores showed up. I´m really bummed, as I was hoping to see some of them gt baptized on the 24th, but we´ll just have to hope and pray that they continue progressing with the next missionaries to come to the area. This week we´ll have to be making sure that the Bishop and the ward mission leader know where all of the investigatores are that we plan on leaving behind and we´ll have to start getting everything set up for when they get here. In short, there´s still a lot of work to do and not much time to do it.
