Yep! Another week´s flown by already. Is there a "Slow-Down" button so I can stay here a little longer? I´m ready to move-on with life, but I´d really like to keep working, although I guess I´ll keep teaching wherever I am. This week went by fast and we were able ti find a few more people to teach. As always however, we´ve also ended being dissapointed with some others, whom we´ll probably hae to stop teaching soon, due tue the complete lack of effort to live the gospel. A family that we´ve been teaching for a while now, Titi and Ani, always say they are going to stop drinking coffee and alcohol, but usually when we´ve come to teach them the next day they´ve bought another giant bag of coffee and they´re sitting on the corner in front of their house drinking with their friends. They also say they are going to get married,... when it´s more financially convenient for them. We´ll visit them again today, but it´ll probably be the last time we visit them in a while, since they´ve stopped coming to church too.
We found a couple while doing contacts this week that´s really excited to be sharing with us. Their names are Cirilo and Dorka. We talked to Cirilo in front of his house and he invited us in before we could really even say anything. We got to talking with them and talked a litlle about the restoration, but then we mostly taught about prayer and recieveing an answer through the Holy Ghost. They were really receptive, and at the end of the leson Cirilo asked where and when church was. He said he was deffinitly going to go, because he said he felt the spirit very strongly when we shared. They both came to church yesterday and really enjoyed it. Athough they were both falling asleep durring the last talk. Probably because it was my talk and they just felt the confort of the spirit so strongly that they couldn´t help but fall asleep. Apparently the Boshop forgot to asign speakers for yesterday, because right as sacrament meeting was starting he asked Elder Zapata and I to both give full-lenght talks. He also asked Hermana Rosalín, the other speaker, to speak with only about a half-hour´s notice. All of the talks turned out well thgouh, and nobody else seems to have noticed that it was all improv.
Our house has also been flooding a lot this week something which can be a little frustrating, since theres not really a bookshelf to keep all of the pamphlets and copies of the book of mormon on. We´ve just had to be a little more creative with where we keep them. It turns out that the house floods from behind every time it rains hard. Luckily it flows out the front door though before it gets very high. We just have to keep sweeping and shoveling it out and drying -up the floor when it´s not raining.
