This week has just flown by. It´s been pretty interesting this week. We´ve been teaching a lot of families, but we´re looking for a lot more single people to teach as well, as most of the families we´re teaching have paper problems and several months before we can get married. We did have one investigatore throw us a curv ball yesterday though (and you can imagine what Dominican curvballs are like, that´s what they´re famous for.) In our ward there´s a family where the father and three sons hae been members for about 17 years. The oldest son has served a mission to Argentina and the is now happily married in the Temple with a son and the next son is serving a mission in the Dominican Republic Santiago mission. The mother has been through numerous missionaries but had never come to church before and shown no interest whatsoever in the gospel, apart from supporting her family thrfough all of their callings. Elder Matos, the son that´s in the mission, e-mailed my companion asking us to teach his mother. We went to give it a shot, focusing more on gaining her confidence than ciming in a nd attacking her right off the batt. She was very clear to tell us that she didn´t promise anything, not going to church or anything. She never went to church and dropped our appointments, so I felt it would be best not to attack her and drive her away. This week however, her missionary-son´s girlfriend went to her house at 8AM to get her ready for church. You can imagine my surprize when we saw her there! She seems to have loked it, but told us not to visit her until Thursday, when she´ll be done studying for some major exams she´s taking. i´m excited to see how receptive she is and how much she liked chruch. I really hope and pray that we´ll be able to help her come to accept the gospel in her life. It would be such a great way to help out and re-pay her son that´s in the mission.
Today we had a p-day activity with President and Hermana Antivilo to say goodby. It´s going to be wierd having a new mission President come in within a week or two, especially this late in my mission, but I´m looking forward to being able to work with him. It´s sad to see President Antivilo and his family leave us, but his next assignment will be from Salt Lake City, so we should be able to see each other again quite easily. I´m looking forward to being abel to work with President Hernandez and seeing his excitement for the work.

P.S.--- I got the mission letters that the ward sent me. I´m glad they didn´t make it al the way to South Africa before they got here and I really anjoyed them.
