Hola Todos!
Well, it looks like I´ve broken my trend of staying six months in all of my areas. I wasn´t expecting to go anywhere for the last six weeks of my mission, but we got the transfer call last night and found out that I´m going to María Auxiliadora, in the middle of Santo Domingo. It gets a lot wierder than that though. My new campanion will be Elder Zufelt, who´s actually from my same group in the MTC and CCM. That means that he´ll also be ending his mission in the next six weeks. We´ll be white-waching the area, which means that they´re taking out the two missionaries that are there right now and sending us there. This is actually the second time that Elder Zufelt has white-washed this area, so at least he knows all of the members, which will make everything a lot smoother. It´s going to be a wierd transfer though, since we´ll both only spend one transfer there, which means they´ll have to white-wash the area again in six weeks, unless I extend...
I don´t like the idea of just getting to know everyone after six weeks and then having to leave, but we´ll see what happens. Apparently the Lard has some people prepared there that He really wants us to teach. I really do love teaching theese people the gospel of Jesus Christ, even if they don´t always accept it. It really is the only way they can fix all of the problems that they face every day. I can´t imagine the impact it would have on the world if everyone would just live the law of chastity and the word of wisdom. there certainly wouldn´t be nearly as many probles as we are facing now. The best influence we can have isn´t even on the people we teach and baptize, but rather their future generations, whose whole life wil be different thanks to being raised in the gospel.
Another thing I´ve noticed throughout my mission is that all of my companions end up being each others´ companions. Elder Zapata is now going to be with Elder McGlothin, whom I was with in Las Colinas, and ELder Zufelt was already comanions with Elder McBride, whom I was companions with right after him. I just find it really funny, since there about 200 missionaries in the mission to choose from, but my companions always get stuck together.
Anyhow, it´s time to go say my goodbies to everybody in ozama.
