Hey there. I´m still doing awesome. We had 12 new investiagatores this week, so that was deffinitely a good thing. I´m looking forward to seeing them progress. There´s one person that we´ve started visiting who lives too far to get to on foot, but is accesible after a good, uphill bike-ride. His name´s Cristian. He came to Stake Confference in La Romana after having contacted Elder Stephens and Elder Rolfe in the street a day of two before. He found his house, where he lives with his sister and her husband, Dulce and Keidi... =]. I love teaching families. The lessons with them have gone Super-Bien, and they´re always really excited to see us. All three of them came to church yesterday on their motorcycle, 15 minutes early, even though there wasn´t any gasoline in the motorcycle. On Saturday we taught them the Law of Chastity, which tends to be a deal-breaker here. They loved it! They were huddled around the pamphlet that we had left them talking about how cute and unified the couples in it looked. When we asked them if they were willing to get married by the law they said, "Claro! Es mucho mejor así, No?" (Of course! it´s way better that way! isn´t it?) They had a birth-certificate for Dulce in the house, and gave us her cedula (ID) to make a copy. Keidi went to get his papers from his mother´s house in the near-by countryside and we´re going to pick them up today. They told us that they want to get married sometime within the week, if we can get an appointment with the judge. They also all have a baptismal date set for the second of October.
We´re still doing well here. We´ve started haveing to deal with a few problems in the house, such as a faulty pipe that has been leaking through the cement and into the house below, cause a lot of water damage. It´s all getting worked out though. We have a training meeting in the capitol this week for all of the Zone, and District Leaders. I´m really excited to go and participate, but I´m really not looking forward to leaving my area for two days to a week. (They haven´t really told us anything specific yet) Elder Deans will have to be in a Trio with Elder Stephens and Elder Rolfe, and they´ll have to work all of Higüey together.
Anyhow, I don´t really have much else to say, I love you guys. I know that your prayers are being answered to help me here more than I can imagine.
Cuidense!
