Hola! ¿Como tu ´ta? (yes, that´s how they say it here)
This past week has gone really well. Ive had a fun time and on Friday we´re going to have two families get married and then baptise them on Sunday. They´re great families and we´ve been working with them for a while. It´s amazing how strong their testimonies are and I´ll always remember the voice of the father in one of the families when he told us, "I´ve been tested up to this point and there´s no way I´m about to fall now!" It´s so gratifying to see that what we´re doing down here has a difference and the great faith that some of these people have. My companion and I are really looking forward to the mariages and baptisms and the ward is really excited to accept the new families. The ward is planning a reception for the two families anfter the wedding and I can´t wait to see all of the support that our investigators will recieve from that.
Sorry I wasn´t able to write on Monday. I forgot to write and tell everyone that we wen´t to the Tample today. Because of this, our p-day got changed to today afterthe Temple. It´s good to hear from everyone and to hear that you´re all doing well. (for the most part). Don´t worry, I´m praying for those of you that aren´t. I´ve found that the Lord likes to pay close attention to the prayers of the missionaries, so I´m sure stuff´ll start taking a turn for the wors-- uh... i mean, better.
Also, a little life tip I was able to glean from our experiences in the past week; If someone ever tells you that they know the geography of the astrology because they have a life of history, They´re really just saying that using big words makes them feel smarter. Anything that they may try to tell you after the preceding statement can be quickly discarded from memory. But that´s alright, because they might also feel something different in your conversation and accept an appointment to start learning more about the gospel.
Anyhow, I´m doing great. THanks, as always, for everyone´s love and support. It keeps me going through whatever my come up from time to time.
