Holo Todo,
Another weeks has passed by in no time at all and the work keeps on rollin´. I have to stop and try to think real hard to remamber averything that has happened this week. We had another baptism this week. It went really well, but we were quite dissapointed when one of our invetigators didn´t show up-- Espacialy since it was the investigator that was supposed to get baptised. This lowered our spirits a little bit, but we got over it. We haven´t been able to contact her yet, but her neighbor ( who is another investigator) informed us that she´s been out of town for a day or two.
As for as the rest goes, I´ve noticed lately that the best families to teach are usually the ones who´s kids find you in the streets and ask you to come teach their families. This is what happened with the family we baptised last week, and it happened again this week. It really makes you wonder how much little kids know that adults don´t. Another somewhat funny thing happend on Saturday night too. We went to see one of our recent baptisms to see if she was doing alright, if she had signed up for institute, and if the ward missionaries had visited yet. We visited as we walked her to the bus stop to go to her other house on the other side of town and her dog followed us there. For some reason this dog seems to have gotten attatched to us ever since we baptised his owner. The dogs here aren´t really trained, but he seems to respond to everything I say to him. After his owner got on ther bus we thought that he would go back home, but as it turns out, he followed us for fifteen minutes al the way to our house. After we left our stuff in the house and got some money, we left to go get a couple of empanadas in the street where we live. The dog, Colby, had patiently waited while we were in the house and accompanied us to the empanada place. while we waited for the empanadas he sat with us while we talked to some members, and while we ate the empanadas, he sat right at the door and kept waiting. At about this point, we stopped trying to get him to go home. He followed us back to the house at the end if the night and when we went to bed about an hour and a half later we looked out the window and saw that he was still sitting in front of the appartment building watching whatever went past of the road. Colby had left by the time I got up in the morrinig and, luckily, we found out durring the day that he had been able to safely cross the bussy street, a main fairway out of the city, to get back to his house. I thought it was funny to take note of how he waited for us and how the little kids just seem to look for us sometimes. I really does make me wonder.
Anyhow, not much else to say today. We went to a more touristic part of the city and got some good pix. I try to send some of them in another email or two (because they´re big)
