Hey,

My companion, Elder Enger just left to go home.  I just found out about 15 mintues ago that I´m going to be in a trio with Elder Sommer and Elder Gutierez for the next two weeks.  It kind of stinks, because now we have to splat our time between both areas and both of our areas have a lot of apointments already.  I would have planned better, but the mission president didn´t tell me what we would be doing until just now.  But we´ll just have to do everything that we can.  luckily, I should be able to get a lot of splits with some of the ward members that have been helping us out in my area.

For those that have never visited the DR, I´ll tell you about a fun little exparience your missing out on.  It´s trying to shower in the dark, and then having a millipede crawl out of the drain and up your leg.  It scared the daylights out of me!  I´ll try to send a picture, but who knows it it´ll work.

Anyhow, as far as investigators and stuff goes, we´re still doing pretty well.  This week five men in our ward were ordained to Elders and given the Melqesidec Priesthood.  Three of which were baptized in our area just a week or two before I got here. It´s really exciting to see this place grow.  The man with four kids didn´t come to church again this week.  It´s really frustrating, he says he want´s to get ized but he won´t come to church.  The more frustrating part is that the four kids have gone to church on their own every week for the past two months and keep asking to get baptized.  I really don´t want to baptise the kids without baptizing the dad, but that´s what it might come down to.  I´ll have to talk to the bishop about it.

anyhow, I can´t think of much else to say right now.  I´ll talk to some of you on Christmas, and I´ll set up the call some time today.  The pacages haven´t gotten here yet, but I´m sure they will eventually.  I forgot to bring the address in flourida with me again, but just don´t send me any packeges until then.

Adios y feliz Navidad!
Elder And Russell Rich
