Hey everyone,
The I´m getting used to things now and I´m really enjoying my area. There are a lot of people here that are ready to accept the gospel and the members are willing to help out a lot. If everyone follows through with their commitments, I should see about another five of six people get babtized in my area by the end of the month. One family that was converted just before I got here has now gotten two other really good investigators for us, one of whom has a wife and 1.5 kids. He might take a little while to get bapdized because we hase to get his papers from Haiti first, but he´s ready to accept the gospel. The other man, Ubiere, asked us to be baptized before we even asked him to commit to a date and really enjoyed stake conference this past week. He has a baptismal date now for Dec 27. Another Haitian man we´ve been teaching has four kids. All four kids have been going to church for about two months now and all four are old enough to be baptized and have asked us when they can be. We don´t want to baptize them until the father is ready, but he´s taking all of the lessons and is just really hard to find most of the time because of work. As soon as we can arrange for him to not have to work on Sundays he should be in line with all of the commandments. Once we feel that he is going to church enough and is ready, we will be able to baptize all five of them. The work is going really well out here. Right now there are about 190 missionaries in my mission, and as long as our success continues, they are going to increase us to over 200! I´m excited for everything that´s going on. We haven´t really had to do any contacts yet either, because our schedule is so full of referals or people that stop us on the street and ask us to teach them. My water in the apartment came back too, that´s a small plus. Anyhow, Merry Christmas, I hope you´re all doing well. Happy birthday to the twins.
